Progress Updates:

Sept 16

 ‘The Shadow of Clotho’ is an interactive installation with technique of projection and interactive controller. Just as its name implies, Clotho is one of Three Fates goddesses, she was responsible for spinning the thread of human life as well as the creature life. According to the shadow, a camera or a Kinect will catch the shadow of people when they are passing between the projector and the screen. In addition, some new elements will be added surround the human shadow that depends on which scenario the screen shows.

Sept 22 

Come out a timeline with detailed date and tasks, and specific plan within 2 pages. 

Mojie Assignment: Research both 'human' and 'nature', come up with the idea of connection between these two concepts in 300 words. 

Qianyu Cui: 1. Testing multitrack audio recorder on field for background audio. Making a demo of the testing result to make sure the audio setting will be working for future recordings. 2. Looking for footages or add-ons for videos such as flares for later edit.

We have tested the installation and interaction on Nov 17th, both are successful and ready to be presented. According to the coming Monday, we will have the finished videos and Max file to show on the VIP Tour in Stauffer B125.
